Ol'Wondermoth aka Granger Mansion
Nickel City is a solid living cooperative that has restored and cared for a classic architecturally significant home at the corner of Elmwood and North. It's called Ol'Wondermoth.
Designed by EB Green at the turn of the century, this brick beauty stands at the top of a hill but hasn't moved an inch in 100 years.
As with any co-op, members share in details of living while adding to the vitality of Allentown and the Elmwood Village.
Members needed to strengthen community in Buffalo's Allentown and West Side Neighborhoods.

Nickel City Housing Cooperative was founded in 2001 with the mission of fixing up vacant properties in Buffalo to provide affordable and cooperative housing.
Members of North American Students of Cooperation (NASCO) and leased to us by NASCO Properties, our houses have support and assistance from a national network of housing co-ops.
