Fountain Plaza
There are so many reasons to go to Fountain Plaza. To grab lunch at one of the restaurants, to skate during the winter, to listen to the rushing water of the fountain, to grab a cup of coffee at the corner cafe, or to merely reflect as you take in the serenity of the corporate park. Fountain Plaza completely transforms during the winter season. Thousands of people visit downtown to rent skates, or they bring their own, and take to the ice. It's a big rink, so it never gets too crowded. There's a snack bar for skaters and it's a popular stop on the Metro Rail.
Still, my favorite time to visit Fountain Plaza is during the warmer months. There's something to be said when you're surrounded by calm and rushing water in the middle of downtown.
