Though it might not be open at this time, the CPO Club is an important waterfront asset that must not be overlooked.
This will be the future home of a community sailing program and public waterfront destination, most likely operated by the neighboring Yacht Club and the Office of Naval Affairs.
There is no better vantage point than the front patio of the CPO Club. The mouth of the Niagara River is clearly visible, as is the Peace Bridge and the Canadian side.
Until an operator surfaces and an agreement can be made, you can still go visit this landmark. Ride your bike and sit out in front of the building at one of the picnic tables. It's the perfect place to visit on a warm summer day.
