Allen Street Grill aka The Old Pink Flamingo
This place is the epitome of Buffalo nightlife. It's been around forever and a night. It's dark and dingy, just like many of the regulars who hang out there. Lowlights are the bathrooms. Highlights are the music and the steak sandwiches. Though I'm partial to the grilled bologna, Rolling Stone Magazine made mention of the 'steak sammy', thus catapulting it into infamy.
When sitting at the bar of The Pink - many people say it's the longest bar in the city - you might find yourself conversing with a rocker on your left and suit on your right. Everyone's equal inside the red lit bar. Good luck getting back out into the real world before four in the morning. The Pink can suck you in and eventually will spit you back out to fend for a ride home.
