Nicholas of Myra Production Set
If you've been out on Lake Erie during the summer of '09, then you might have noticed this profile of an old ship materialize. It was built for a movie being produced in Buffalo called Nicholas of Myra - the real story of Santa Claus. It's good to see more and more producers (many Buffalonians) looking to Buffalo as a place to film.
The movie is being written and directed by Gerald Hartke - other production locations include the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and Forest Lawn Cemetery. While you're out visiting the Outer Harbor bike trail, be sure to swing by to see the set. Next door is the Maritime Museum, another incredible waterfront attraction. Others are Dug's Dive, Tifft Nature Preserve, Times Beach Nature Preserve and the Steel Winds windmill farm.
