Stiletto Run
This is one of my favorite events of the year. It's called the Stiletto Run. Basically, the race is a .5k in which runners must don spikes or heels over three inches in height. The race is sponsored by ShoeFly and proceeds go towards the fight against ovarian cancer.
Bidwell Parkway is the start of the race. This parkway has become the hub for tons of activities within the Elmwood Village. The race ends up at the front door of ShoeFly. '09 was the second year of the race, and the number of runners almost doubled since last year. Guys and girls are welcome to enter. After all it's the spirit of the event that counts the most. Post party is as fun as the race! Race takes place in June.
