Inner/Outer Harbor Connection Bridge
Might there someday be a bridge to the Outer Harbor, starting at the foot of Main Street. This is one of the proposed locations for a bridge to the Outer Harbor that would either come in the form of a bascule or lift design.
Many people are favoring this location for a bridge due to the immediate connectivity with Main Street and the Metro Rail. The bridge would traverse the Buffalo River, Ganson Street pier and the City Ship Canal before connecting with Fuhrmann Boulevard.
An alternative location proposed for the bridge would be at the foot of Erie at the Erie Basin Marina.
