Amazing Vintage Diner
Awesome breakfast spot south of the city, just over the Lackawanna line, the Woodlawn Diner is a genuine vintage diner which still sports the in-booth jukeboxes (sadly not working but still so cool to flip through the vintage tunes) real old fashioned countertop service, coffee in those old stoneware mugs that have been around forever and a laid-back everyone-welcome attitude.
Linger on a Saturday before heading over to Woodlawn Beach or just as an out-of-the-way jaunt off the beaten path. Easy drive from the city, just straight down Rt. 5, can't miss it on your left, don't let the modest exterior deter you, just the endless coffee refills are worth the stop alone. They close at 2pm though, so get there early to soak up the ambiance!
