The Yard @ Rock Harbor
One of two permanent outdoor music venues in the city. An industrial covered stage allows performers to jam rain or shine. We built a giant Scrabble game and checker board - found out in the lot.
The Yard is bike and boat friendly thanks to being located on the Scajaquada Creek and the Jesse Kriegel bike path. During the summer of '08 we hosted approx. 15 bands with musical sounds ranging from rap to experimental indie. The crowd sits on gigantic steel i-beams found spread about the grounds.
In '09 The Yard was one of the venues for the Infringement Festival, as it will be once more in '10. Also home to Artists and Models event in '10. The site is just minutes from the Peace Bridge and Canada.
