Rumsey Woods
Look close... you may miss it. It's a cozy little wooded path lined with fallen logs and branches. And it's right smack in Delaware Park. This is not a long trail. It's not an expansive trail. It's a short memorable walk that places you in the middle of a lost forest (at least in your mind).
Of course the S-curves are right on the other side of the trees, but if you want to just sit down and reflect, then this is the place. Rarely will you run into anybody else. If you do, it's most likely a silent exchange of "Hello". The path is not manicured like many of the other park settings. Is this really in Delaware Park? Maybe some day this path will be extended if more wooded land is allowed to take root; in the meantime it's a slice of serenity that makes one think, "What if?"
