Grille 620

Grille 620

We first walked into Grille 620 on a whim. It was a rainy night and we were looking to avoid the maddening crowd. We figured that the restaurant would be a good getaway considering that it's located on the first floor of a Holiday Inn on Delaware Avenue.

We were right. We didn't know anyone inside, especially the 15 Japanese tourists who sat next to us. If you're looking for a bar menu serving chicken wings and burgers, then they have one. If you're looking for something a bit more substantial, then they have that too. The atmosphere might be lacking, but the food is actually pretty good.

When you've hit the rest of the city's restaurants repeatedly, you may want to give this place a try. I had a pan seared salmon served on a bed of mushroom risotto. It was tasty and filling. My friend had the Bayou pasta and it nearly burned his mouth off (that's a good thing).

Our bartender was cool, and our beers were cold. The place isn't exactly cheap, but you do get what you pay for. The specialty of the house is the roast prime rib of beef for $12.95. Soups, salads, crab cakes, clams, eggplant strato, seafood scampi, Tuscan chicken...

You can even order flights of beers!
