Aleksandra Kasuba Brick Relief

Aleksandra Kasuba Brick Relief

Located at the Amherst Street Metro Rail Station, this brick relief by Aleksandra Kasuba was part of an art installation coinciding with the opening of the Metro Rail in 1985. The entire effort cost $1.15 million - a staggering amount of money for the time.

The relief encompasses the entire wall, giving a subtle yet powerful work consisting of pyramid outlines filled with wonderful curving designs.
