Sharon Gold Painting

Sharon Gold Painting

Located at the Humboldt Parkway Metro Rail Station (east), this painting by Sharon Gold was part of an art installation coinciding with the opening of the Metro Rail in 1985. The entire effort cost $1.15 million - a staggering amount of money for the time.

Situated on a massive wall yet somehow this painting manages to steal the attention of the viewer through its use of color and placement in line with the station's windows.
