Milton Rogovin Photo Series
Located at the Humboldt Parkway Metro Rail Station, this series of photographs by Milton Rogovin was part of an art installation coinciding with the opening of the Metro Rail in 1985. The entire effort cost $1.15 million - a staggering amount of money for the time.
Subject matter is everyday people doing everyday things, at work and at home. Captured in black and white, the shots speak of the old world working class values of the city. Ethnically diverse, hardworking people devoted to family and their city.
