Minotaur
Sculpture by David Hayes (1991) is larger than life as if standing guard in front of UB's Anderson Gallery. With protrusions resembling those of the fabled minotaur or a trumpeting elephant figure beckoning or bellowing.
An impressive work of art befitting of such a high-profile location. To stand next to the sculpture is to find your sense of place and space. Mirrored in the reflective panels of the building, while given a solid brick backdrop, Minotaur is all encompassing and compliments the elements, both man made and natural, that surround it.
