Mirror Lake
Mirror Lake is situated right in front of the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society. The lake is attached to Hoyt Lake, and even has a short reservoir wall in order to keep the lake levels high. Look for the hundreds of koi fish.
The Japanese Gardens are found along Mirror Lake, and in recent years flowering cherry trees have been planted with the intention of lining the entire perimeter of the water someday. You can ride your bike to get to this location, or you can even rent a rowboat at the Marcy Casino - just go under the old stone bridge. There are now two main entrances to get down to Mirror Lake - one on either side of the historical society.
