Asarese Matters Recreational Center
Run by The City as a West Side community center, Asarese has become a hub for healthy activities and social engagement. The center offers everything from outdoor basketball courts to computers to artistic endeavors.
You can't miss the center die to its colorful mural on the outside of the building. The artwork depicts different ethnicities planting, harvesting and cooking food. It's a symbol of the different cultures that have taken root on the city's West Side, and it also represents many of the organizations that have helped these groups to adjust to their new home.
