Sue's NY Deli & The Juicery
The eatery could be the most vegetarian restaurant in the city! Tons of great specials, with $1.50 side salads and soups (with purchase of meal). I recently tried the avocado wrap and it was the best wrap I have ever eaten - filled with toasted pine nuts, tons of veggies and Chinese noodles. I had no idea that The Juicery was part of the operation... remember that place?
Sue's is one of my favorite places to go when I'm in a healthy eating kinda mood and it's right on Elmwood in downtown Buffalo. They really do go out of their way to accommodate vegetarians, while there are plenty of options for everyone.
*Try to avoid the lunchtime crowd that arrives at noon sharp.
*For a vegetarian restaurant I was highly disappointed that everything was served in Styrofoam containers. Be sure to tell them that you are dining in and you would like a real plate. Did not see a recycle bin for cans and bottles either.
*The restaurant is located inside of the Niagara Center, which is a Federal building. That means that you will need to go through airport-style security to get in... what a hoot!
