M&T Center
This building was the original Buffalo Saving Bank. Today it is an M&T Bank, though many Buffalonians will always refer to it as Goldome. The interior is as ornate as the Neoclassical revival Beaux-Arts classicism exterior. The dome is made with 23.75 carat gold leaf sheets. Architect: Green & Wicks.
This is the hub of architecture downtown. From here you can walk to the Electric Building, Market Arcade and so many others - or take the Metro Rail, which is free above ground.
