Artist: Tony Smith

When looking at this sculpture, you won't find it hard to believe that the artist trained under, and worked for, Frank Lloyd Wright. This work of art (1961) is consistent with his minimalist style and use of geometric shapes to accentuate a viewer's response through its ever so simplistic scale.

Simplicity equals ingenuity in this case. Tony Smith was a trailblazer when it came to creating these massive pieces, and many sculptors have mimicked his artful works, yet none have succeeded in capturing his masterful minimalist style.
