Cock-a-doodle-doo
I can't believe that I found a Billie Lawless sculpture here in Buffalo! Do you remember when The City dismantled the multimedia artist's infamous Green Lightning sculpture because it featured dancing green neon penises sporting top hats and twirling canes?
The steel sculpture called cock-a-doodle-doo (1981) seen here is located on a Buffalo State College campus quad and is quite neat in that there are a number of powerful geometric shapes, angles and negative spaces that make for great viewing no matter the vantage point. It's signed at the bottom.
