McMillan Fountain
Although this fountain is no longer operational, it is still worth a quick walk from Hoyt Lake to check out. Not many people know that this landmark even exists, as it is hidden from view by a large wooded area.
The inscription on the fountain reads, "William McMillan - First Superintendent of Buffalo Parks (1870-1898). Erected by a few of his friends in 1905."
There are a series of steps leading up to the fountain, making for a grand entranceway and charming place to sit and relax.
Stacked granite stones form an old horse trough, which is now a drinking fountain. - Buffalo Arts Commission
