Gates Circle
Known to be one of the only whispering galleries in Buffalo. What's a whispering gallery? It is said that lovers can whisper sweet nothings and the words carry throughout the circle when spoken softly. The circular seating arrangement lends itself to this unique attribute.
The impressive inner fountain was added thanks to design work by EB Green. The fountain and the light standards were originally part of the Pan-American Exposition. Occasionally groups of people can be seen throughout the warmer months hosting cocktail parties, or just gathering to dip their toes in the water.
