Saint Mary's on the Hill
Concept:
Not that long ago this church was in use and was not an 'at risk' property as it is today. Owned by an out-of-town landlord, the structure began to deteriorate until all that was left was the outer walls.
It is the outer walls that developers like Savarino are looking to incorporate into a reuse that might someday add to the fabric of this neighborhood once more. As The Armory (next door) was granted a new lease on life, so is the hope that Saint Mary's may one day raise a roof and become productive in the community.
