“Old Neighborhood” Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
No, this is not the big parade that heads through the middle of the city each year, this is the Annual Old Neighborhood Saint Patrick's Day Parade. The neighborhood in question happens to be the old First Ward, where many an Irishmen is known to live.
That's why the events that surround this parade can be both family centric at first and then beer driven later in the day. This event takes place on Saturday, while its big counterpart takes place on Sunday.
A good place to stand and catch all of the excitement is at the corner of South Park and Hamburg (seen here).
