MAP Growing Green Garden
This neighborhood is home to a series of Massachusetts Avenue Project (MAP) gardens. The produce planted by MAP volunteers is yielded for the community so that everyone can have easy access to affordable and healthy fruits and vegetables. Some of the veggies even end up in our local schools thanks to MAP's Farm to Schools program.
This particular garden, located on Brayton, is attached to other MAP initiatives and resources via walkways found towards the back of the lot. Seen here are Buffalo's youth learning the importance of seeding, tilling and reaping the rewards of urban farming.
