Somali Star
Somali Star has re-opened on Grant Street and is now serving up both Somali and Hispanic fare. Tucked away inside a rather bland building, Somali Star's food is the real deal and the interior makes up for the building's outward appearance.
Hankering for a pestelillo (meat or veggie)? Or how 'bout some parcha (fruit juice) to go with the relleno de papas, sambusa, tostones and quesitos? Very friendly service in an almost Island-charming dwelling. Also serving fried fish, curry chicken or goat meat (both served with basmati rice and salad), steak and onions or the fried chicken (both served with rice and beans).
