Apparently this is a project that is coming soon. If it were up to me this part of the Outer Harbor plan should have been completed before the Route 5 debacle was finished (or started).
Fortunately there are already some boardwalks, outcroppings, and beaches out along this section of the Outer Harbor. It may be tough to navigate if you are not familiar with Route 5 exits and Fuhrmann Boulevard (that was supposed to be alleviated when the reconstruction on Route 5 was handed out to the DOT). But once you get to this destination you will find bike trials, windsurfing and dog walking opportunities.
I hope that some of the renderings shown here come to pass to make up for the decision to re-elevate Route 5.
