Buffalo Maritime Center
If you ever wanted to know anything about the history of boating on Lake Erie, this is where you would find the info. The craftsmen at the Maritime Center spend long hours recreating many of the boats indigenous to the Great Lakes, esp. Buffalo's Inner Harbor.
Ranging from canoes to engine crafts, the boats displayed at this public museum are simply breathtaking. Old runabouts, classic woodies and water taxis are just a few of the styles that you will find.
The center also offers programs to those who want to build their own boats. The Six Hour Canoe is the most popular and fastest boat to build. This boat building museum is not to be missed.
