Spirit of Buffalo Sailing Adventures
If this is not a sight for sore eyes, then I don't know what is. Who would have ever guessed that there would be a classic 73 foot coastal sailing vessel cruising around the Inner Harbor? Thanks to a dedicated team of waterfront enthusiasts, the Inner Harbor is now home to the Spirit of Buffalo, a waterfront attraction like no other.
When she's not out on a tour, the schooner can be found tied up within the Erie Canal Terminus. Even then she is impressive. The ship is incredibly kid friendly - there are even pirate events all summer long. There's a learning element too. When the kids are not out playing pirate, they are learning the art of sailing as well as the importance of the lake's ecosystem thanks to the Buffalo Urban Outdoor Education program.
