Buffalo Lawn Bowling Club
Many years ago, lawn bowling was a very popular Buffalo pastime. As the sport fell out of favor, so did the grounds surrounding the Parkside Lodge - the club dedicated to the players.
In recent years there has been renewed interest in the recreation, and players are utilizing not only the bowling lawns, but the clubhouse as well. There is even a restaurant located on the grounds called The Lunch Box where players can eat or grab a coffee.
The lawn bowling fields are also used for croquet play, and like lawn bowling must be reserved at a rate of $25/hour.
On the opposite side of the club is a large gated lawn where children play during the summer. It doubles as a bocce court. Often times there are big yellow and white tents pitched for rainy day activities or to picnic out of reach of the sun's rays.
