Connecticut Street Armory
One of my favorite buildings in Buffalo, and one that we are lucky to have with us to this day. In 1982 there was an incredible fire within the walls of the building that resulted in a destroyed roof and interior. Thankfully, many people fought to preserve the structure and today we have a functioning armory that doubles as an event space.
Once home to the New York National Guard, the 74th Regimental Armory now plays host to weddings, community forums, etc. If you think that the exterior is impressive, then know that the interior is equally so. If ever you have a chance to attend attend any sort of function at The Armory, do so. Factions of the Armory are still in use by the military to this day.
