Another sign that the Cobblestone District is making a spirited comeback is the reuse of this massive cold storage freezer building. Even though the ultimate use is not determined, the building is situated directly next store to the Elk Street Terminal Lofts.
While we play the waiting game, Ellicott Development has moved forward in the gutting process, clearing out the interior and removing all of the old broken windows. This is a highly visible building that is one of the last to be occupied in the Cobblestone District. Developer Sam Savarino has also renovated a series of old ice houses on Mississippi Street into offices, lofts and restaurants.
