DL&W Terminal
This is the old Delaware, Lackawanna, & Western Railroad Terminal. Though no longer a train terminal, the structure does house the city's Metro Rail cars. It's the end of the route that leads down Main Street to University at Buffalo's South Campus.
The enormous second floor of the building is currently empty, and there are many Buffalonians who would love to see it occupied. Each year, as the Inner Harbor becomes more of a destination, the DL&W becomes more viable as a public destination - perhaps a market, a gallery, a mall or all of the above.
Situated along the Buffalo River, the terminal is accessible by boat. There is also a bike trail along the water's edge. Metro Rail, bikes, boats... this could be an incredible destination someday.
