The Cotter Firehouse (Engine 20 Firehouse)
Concept:
There is a grassroots effort underway to raise money and awareness that might someday lead to the construction of a new firehouse for the Edward M. Cotter fireboat. If this were to happen, the waterfront would have a superb museum that would showcase many of the historic nautical achievements.
The fireboat house and museum would also offer a banquet room, visitor's center, and cafe. The Cotter is a prized possession for Buffalo... it is the world's oldest operation fireboat - a distinction that deserves not only a place in history, but a home that resembles the distinction.
