Buffalo Powder Keg Festival
This festival is held in conjunction with the Labatt Pond Hockey Tournament late February.
The first year was an enormous success with people filtering into downtown from all over the region to participate in events such as Skyway sledding and the Guinness Book World's Largest Ice Maze.

The festival features:
Ice sculptures, snowman building contests, horse and carriage rides, ice maze, hot cider, live music (featuring such bands as Ron Hawkins, Free Henry, Blood Thirsty Vegans), Swiss toboggan pulls, erupting powder keg, Skyway tubing, snow shoveling contest, Kan-Jam, snow beach tennis, University Olympics, igloo building, snow shoeing, pancake breakfasts, hikes, hashing, Police and Fire competitions, large LCD screen Olympic viewings (first year), New Era bubble hockey tourney, igloo building, Powder Keg Lager, kiteboarding, grill stations, broomball, weather experience center demonstrations, dog parade, X-Country skiing...
PKF is held at the Pearl Street Grill and Brewery, One HSBC Center (Tower Plaza), Erie Hills Park, and the surrounding area.
The Metro Rail drops visitors off at the heart of the festival.
