Extreme Makeover House
This is the West Side house that has recently garnered so much attention. It's being deconstructed and reconstructed for the popular national TV hit Extreme Makeover.
While this project is exciting in itself, the real news is the heartwarming story that goes along with it. Over 5000 volunteers have arrived on the scene to tackle an additional 30 houses in the neighborhood. New porches, roofs, siding, etc. It started with the house that you see here and has escalated beyond anyone's wildest expectations thanks to the ongoing initiatives of the community, AmeriCorps, David Homes, Extreme Makeover and others.
