Best Street Mosque, School and Boarding School
I've actually been inside this East Side Mosque - formerly a Youth Detention Facility. The compound's footprint is one city block and is made up of a number of architecturally significant buildings.
Upon stepping foot inside I removed my shoes and proceeded upstairs to the main office. Each room that I passed was filled with kneeling prayer groups. I was interested to learn that students come from all over the country to school at this East Side mosque.
