Re-Tree WNY
Did you know that Buffalo used to be called The City of Trees? Then, over the years, urban decay set in and trees were thought of as afterthoughts... if thought of at all. It was after the city's October Storm that an organization by the name of Re-Tree WNY was formed.
To date, Re-Tree WNY, with the help of the community, has planted 11,200 significant trees (not counting little seedlings). The goal is 30,000. That's a significant number, and every month more trees are planted and more resources are added to step up the effort.
