The Quaker Bonnet
This is where you will find some of the most delectable treats in the city. It may not look like it's open to the public, since it's found off the beaten path, but the Quaker Bonnet was here a long time before they opened an eatery in Allentown.
To this day you can still walk into the Chenango location and choose from a wide assortment of sweet delicacies such as Buffalo Chips, hot fudge sauce, elephant ears, meringues and peanut butter shortbread wooden nickels. There are even more gourmet delights in the form of Anchor Bar wing sauce, Lachaal Tunisian extra virgin olive oil, celery seed dressing/merinade, Buffalo goody baskets, Lake Effect Cookbooks, dessert shells, cinnamon ice cream... the rest is for you to search out!
