This is not your average greasy college-pizza take-out joint. As a matter of fact, my friends who have gone are raving about it. Apparently, the owner already has a number of The Calzone Kings around New York and is planning on opening three more in Buffalo.
This initial location is small, concentrating on take-out, but it does have stools for customers who want to eat after a late night on the town. These guys specialize in making any calzone that you can possibly dream of. 51 varieties... and number 52 is build your own!
A few varieties: Chicken ranch, enchilada, calzones, Buffalo Zonie, fajita, Alfredo, Philly, BBQ, steak and egg, ham and cheese, sheppard pie, sloppy joe, taco, burger, scrambled egg, man 'n cheese, tuna melt, garden, ribs, chili, Garbage Zonie, Mac and Dog, Reuben, fish stix...
There are even dessert calzones like Apple Zonie and blueberry and cherry!
In true Buffalo style, The Calzone King also has some sides ranging from Buffalo wings to mozzarella sticks. Delivery 'til 5am.
