Event: Zombie Walk
Every year, coinciding with the Season of the Witch, a hundred or so people shred up their clothing, splatter fake blood on themselves, and act like they are zombies! It's all part of the Zombie Walk.
The walking, crawling and oozing dead gather at Bidwell Parkway at 1pm and proceed to drag themselves down Elmwood Avenue until they reach Days Park in Allentown. From the 'organ'izers:
- Don't go up to cars and start rocking them/hitting them/climbing on top of them.
- By that same virtue, don't run into the street while traffic is going.
- Some businesses enjoy the Zombie Walk, but some will get pissed off if you go smearing your bloody face on their window.
- Pretty much just don't be a jerk.
- In response to last year's unusable fake blood debacle: if you have a tried-and-true recipe for fake blood, please send it over. For now, it's best to get gussied up before you get to the meeting spot.
