Swannie House
You can say without hesitation that you're a true blue Buffalonian if you've ventured into the Swannie House. One of the city's most prolific pubs if there ever was one. Great bar, great people, reliable pub grub and lively old world atmosphere.
Not only does the pub cater to the blue collar workers in the neighborhood, it also draws in Sabres fans, and anyone who just wants to have a beer in an out-of-the-way joint where blue jeans are the norm and drink back-ups are a way of life.
Not many people know that there is additional dining space on the second floor - perfect for eating and relaxing. Great fish fry, fries, bologna sandwich, etc. Don't expect much more than standard brews such as Labatt, Bud, Coors, etc. Nice roomy patio featuring the occasional live music. Super close to the HSBC Arena.
