Front Park '1904' Picnic Shelter

Front Park '1904' Picnic Shelter

Back in the day, there were plenty of really nice picnic shelters around the city. There are still plenty of shelters, but not many that are built the way this one was. This is the sole picnic shelter at Front Park, and it's not really used that often.

What I like most about this structure, other than the craftsmanship, is that there are two fireplace grills on either end with chimneys. I'm not sure if The City 'allows' people to grill here... though why would there be built-in grills if that was the case?

Nearby park amenities include tennis courts, playgrounds, soccer field, picnic benches, etc.
