Rotary Park
Thanks to the Rotary Club of Buffalo, we have urban and waterfront amenities such as Rotary Park and Rotary Rink on Main Street.
Rotary Park has become a very significant spot in Buffalo for a couple of reasons. It's home to West Side Rowing Club, the country's largest rowing club. It's also the new home of the Frank Lloyd Wright Rowing Boathouse.
Over the last couple years, this has become one of my favorite places to hang out, many times by myself watching the waterfront activity. Even during a rainstorm (while biking), I've found myself ducking under the roof lines of the rowing boathouse watching the storm blow across the lake.
Rotary Park is well manicured without having the appearance of a faux golf course property. Bring a chair and a book and relax at Rotary Park - it may be small, but that's half the reason I like it so much!
