We the BLF HQ Bums jut wanted to add on to what is being said here about the Buffalo Lebowski Festival. Actually, it was all taken directly from the BLF website www.buffalolebowski.com. So, we listed some more info about BLF below!
What is the difference from the Buffalo Lebowski Festival and other Lebowski parties or Festivals?
The big twist is that B.L.F is not a moneymaking venture. We here at BLF HQ really have no interest in making a profit. Remember, all the Dude really wanted was his rug back! Therefore, in the spirit of the Dude himself if any money is left over, a portion of those proceeds is donated to a charity and the rest goes towards the next event.
So, for around $30, any Achiever is able to enter a world of Lebowski and drink, bowl, meet new people, escape reality, and give back to your community.
The first year BLF HQ members selected the American Red Cross Grater Buffalo Chapter to be the recipient of our donation. Each year BLF will choose a new group that will receive the B.L.F. Achievers donation.
The Buffalo Lebowski Festival has been a labor of love for all involved.
We very much enjoyed working on creating an event that we now believe has the foundation to grow into something spectacular. It is our personal belief and hope that this event will become a major/minor tourist attraction in the future for Buffalo, New York. Thank you to all the Achievers that traveled from across America to make B.L.F. such a success!
We knew that an event like this would work in Buffalo. The Queen city has a progressively thinking population that is open to new ideas. The community is constantly willing to try something new and support creativity. Because this community is so open to new and expressive ideas is exactly why B.L.F. will continue to succeed and grow.
We are really looking forward to the next BLF Bums event to see how all our work pays off. The Dude Abides!
