This is one of those places that you might find yourself on a Friday at 3am or on Christmas Eve at 3am. Or maybe you spent the afternoon there ditching work... or school. You'll find the cheapest drinks in town or a few strippers from The Colony Lounge - no matter what you're guaranteed a good time.
Checkers is a North Buffalo legend - maybe that's why they've never changed the bathrooms or the wallpaper. They do have a new front patio though. People have been hooking up here since the beginning of time - actually 1965 or longer.
Buffalo dart league hangs out here on occasion.
