Religious Sgraffito Calasanctius Mural
This amazing 18 ton mural is located on Buffalo State College campus. It was originally located at Graycliff where it was saved from demolition thanks to the efforts of The Polish Arts Club. The group raised the money to transport artist Jzef Sawiski's 1967 mural and also had it restored at the same time.
The religious sgraffito was formerly on a building located on the estate when it was occupied by the Piarist Fathers. Since the building was not original to the grounds, it was slated to be demolished, but not before plans commenced to rescue the stunning work of art.
