Neon Tango Dancers
Here we have the results of a public art project dating back to the late 70's or early 80's. The in-motion public art project is one of the most hi-profile outdoor exhibits in the city. It's also found on one of the most trafficked commercial streets.
For many years these tango dancers were not operating correctly. Recently there was a community effort to restore the mechanism, which apparently worked as all of the dancers are now operational. Thanks to the original artwork by Laura Rankin and recent fundraiser efforts by the Buffalo Argentine Tango Society.
The billboard is located at the corner of Elmwood and Bidwell Parkway.
