Gallagher Beach
This might not be the sandiest beach around, but it certainly is one of the nicest places to sit on a warm, sunny day. The beach is comprised of pebbles rather than sand, which makes it perfect for playing with dogs and sitting - if you plan on running around then throw on some sandals.
Perfect beach for relaxing and watching the windsurfers and kitesurfers. Bring a big blanket, a cooler, some beach chairs, a picnic basket and a kite. This stretch is expansive and boasts a really great boardwalk if you're bringing your bike along.
